Shipping and delivery

Relevant Terms & Conditions

4. Delivery

In plain languageWho carries your order depends on what it is: accessories and parts go by parcel service, complete bikes by a carrier that handles large boxes.

The binding text

We deliver goods not only within the European Union. With the exception of complete bicycles, deliveries are generally carried out by Packeta or UPS. Complete bicycles ordered are delivered by FedEx, national postal services, or other shipping providers. We are only able to sell our products in retail quantities and only to end users.

6.C Special Provisions for Shipping Outside the EU

In plain languageA complete bike going outside the EU may be split into two boxes, so it travels safely and clears customs.

The binding text

For complete bicycles shipped to countries outside the European Union, the Provider reserves the right to dispatch the product in two separate packages (boxes). This may be done to ensure safe shipping conditions and to comply with international logistics regulations.

11. International Orders (Outside the EU)

In plain languageOrders leaving the EU may attract import duty and local tax on arrival. Those charges are yours to pay, not ours.

The binding text

Import duties and taxes: For orders shipped outside the European Union, additional import duties, customs charges, and local taxes may be applied once the parcel arrives in the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are separate from the shipping costs paid at checkout.

Estimated costs: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an accurate estimate of these charges, as they vary by country and order value. For more precise information, we recommend contacting your local customs office to obtain information relevant to your specific situation.

  • Complete bicycles are shipped by FedEx, national postal services or other carriers.
  • Accessories and parts are usually shipped by Packeta or UPS.

The shipping fee depends on the size of the package and the delivery country. It is calculated and shown at checkout once you have entered the delivery address.

Check the box in front of the courier before you accept it.

If the box is damaged and the contents may be damaged too:

  1. Ask the courier to record the damage in a damage report.
  2. Take a photo of the box at the moment of delivery. The photo should show the damage clearly.

A damage report and a photo taken at delivery make a transport-damage claim much easier to settle with the carrier.

Before you unpack any further, take photos of:

  • every damaged side of the box
  • the shipping labels
  • dents, holes, water damage or crushed corners
  • the bike or item as it lies in the box

Keep the box and all packing materials until the case is closed. Report the damage to us without delay, and at the latest within 14 days of discovering it (see clause 5 of the shop terms).

Check the tracking link first. If the tracking has not updated for longer than expected, contact us with your order number and the tracking link.

Check all the packaging, small boxes, protective wraps and accessory bags before reporting a missing item. Some parts are packed separately inside the main box.

If the item is still missing, contact us with your order number and a list of what arrived.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • the tracking link
  • photos
  • a short description of the problem
  • whether you still have the packaging
  • Two boxes: for complete bicycles shipped outside the European Union, we may send the bike in two separate boxes, for safe transport and to meet international shipping rules.
  • Duties and taxes: import duties, customs charges and local taxes may be charged when the parcel arrives. They are paid by the recipient, separately from the shipping fee. We cannot estimate them in advance; please ask your local customs office.
  • UK Cycle to Work scheme: we cannot offer it. The scheme is open only to companies operating in the United Kingdom, and Booda Bike is a Hungarian company.

Keep the box and the packaging until the bike has been fully checked. If you want to return the bike, the original box is the safest way to send it. See Returns and withdrawal.

The box was damaged when it arrived. What should I do?

Ask the courier to record the damage in a damage report and photograph the box at the moment of delivery. Keep the box and all packaging, and report the damage to us within 14 days of discovering it, with your order number and photos.

Do I have to pay import duties on an order outside the EU?

Possibly. For orders shipped outside the European Union, import duties, customs charges and local taxes may be charged when the parcel arrives. The recipient pays them, separately from the shipping fee paid at checkout. We cannot estimate them in advance; your local customs office can tell you what applies.

Can I buy a Booda Bike through the UK Cycle to Work scheme?

Unfortunately not. The scheme is only open to companies operating in the United Kingdom and is built around the British PAYE tax system. Booda Bike is a Hungarian company, so we cannot take part in it.
