Cleaning the Possible SpinnerOne Rear Hub
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This guide applies to the Possible SpinnerOne single-speed rear hub, used on Pilot, Atlas, Sander, and Astro models.
It explains how to clean the removable rear sprocket interface and apply a small amount of oil before reinstalling it.
Tools and materials
Section titled “Tools and materials”- Brake cleaner
- Rohloff oil
- Clean cloth or paper towel
1. Remove the rear sprocket unit
Section titled “1. Remove the rear sprocket unit”
Grip the rear sprocket by its outer rim and pull it away from the hub with firm force.
If it does not move, rotate the sprocket slightly and pull again while applying more force to one side.
The removable hub center will come out together with the sprocket.

2. Clean the inner ribbed surface
Section titled “2. Clean the inner ribbed surface”Clean the ribbed inner surface of the removed hub center with brake cleaner.
Wipe away dirt, old residue, and excess cleaner.
3. Apply oil
Section titled “3. Apply oil”
Apply 3-4 drops of Rohloff oil to the cleaned ribbed inner surface.
Do not over-oil it.
4. Reinstall the sprocket unit
Section titled “4. Reinstall the sprocket unit”
Place the hub center back onto the rear hub and push it in with firm force.
Make sure it is fully seated.

5. Reinstall the hub cap
Section titled “5. Reinstall the hub cap”
Place the hub cap back onto the axle side of the rear hub.
Final check
Section titled “Final check”Before riding:
- Check that the sprocket unit is fully seated.
- Check that the hub cap is installed.
- Rotate the rear wheel by hand.
- Check that the belt runs straight.
- Check that no oil or cleaner reached the brake rotor or brake pads.
